Join Canadians for Anti-Litter Week

Each year the Canadian Plastics Industry Association sponsors the Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up, and encourages its members and others to get out there and lend a hand.  Help make Canada a cleaner place by taking part in the Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up.  The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup (GCSC) takes place in every province across the country during the week of September 17th -25th. Thousands of CanadianimgTvSQnlaxIt.pngs come together to help clean up our shorelines and waterways.

The GCSC program, which began in Vancouver’s Stanley Park, strives to educate and change public behavior to prevent littering.  Litter is pervasive, compiled of many different materials and products.  Your company materials could be littered – you’re your company and employees care. Support groups such as the GCSC in their education efforts in anti-littering.

The GCSC is your opportunity to participate in your communities, clean-up by spending a couple hours to show your support for the anti-litter initiative. We appreciate your assistance in passing this information to encourage your employees to sign up to help clean-up a site.  Getting involved is simple; the following link connects you to the Shoreline Cleanup website:  To sign up follow the “get started” orange button located on the home page.  From this page a nation wide search of all the cleanup locations is available, and sign ups are available by location.  You may join a pre-existing site, organize the site, and/or create your own site.
