CPIA Awards provide the opportunity to recognize outstanding individuals and companies for their commitment and dedication to the ongoing success of the plastics industry.

Leader of the Year Award - deadline March 15
- Since 1966 there have been 38 individuals granted the Leader of the Year Award.
- They are widely recognized as having made important contributions to their businesses, to their communities and to the Canadian Plastics Industry.
- Not only do they own or manage successful and innovative businesses in the plastics sector, but they have continually used their knowledge and influence to improve the competitive and environmental performance of this industry.
- In addition, they contribute their time and resources to community and faith groups or other organizations dedicated to society-building.
Recycled Plastics Product Award- deadline March 15
- This award is intended to raise awareness about the Canadian industry’s use of recycled plastics.
- Nominations to be sought for companies whose product or packaging has been produced in Canada and contains at least 20% post-use plastics collected for recycling.
- Nominees may be brand owners manufacturing consumer, commercial, industrial and institutional products, retailers manufacturing their own branded products as well as plastic companies manufacturing plastic products or plastic packaging.
Plastics Innovator of the Year Award - deadline March 15
- Nominations can be sought for those that during the year have contributed to the expansion of the Canadian plastic industry, through advancement of plastic technology.
- Nominee’s innovations would be in the areas of materials, product or process technologies.
- Nominees may be in industry, academia, government or non-profit organizations.
Plastics Stewardship Award - deadline March 15
- Nominations to be sought for those individuals or organizations that during the year have contributed to the enhancement of the Canadian plastic industry’s stewardship and sustainability.
- Nominee’s contributions would be for efforts to expand waste diversion and post-use recovery of plastics.
- Nominees may be in the industry, academia, government or non-profit organizations.
Plastics Newcomer of the Year Award - deadline March 15
- Nominations to be sought for those individuals who during the year have contributed to the Canadian plastic industry’s contributions to the country’s economy, standard of living and environment
- This award is intended to showcase the newcomers to the industry and create a platform for attraction of new talent to the industry.
- Nominees may be in the industry, academia, government or non-profit organizations.
